Secure Your Place in Akhirah

Our doors will shut down, and our youth, new reverts, and refugees will lose a safe hub to learn and practice the deen of Allah. We urgently need to clear our outstanding debt of $100k this month.

We are calling upon 1000 generous individuals to come forward with a contribution of $100 each. This donation is a race against time to safeguard the future of the AMY Centre. Failing to meet this target will result in a significant loss: the building and all the progress and funds we have dedicated so far. This is an urgent call to all the Muslim Ummah to come forward and save the house of Allah from closing down.

Your swift action is crucial in safeguarding a sanctuary that welcomes reverts, supports young and new Muslims, and provides refuge for many. This center is not just a building; it’s a vibrant hub of Dawah, Quranic learning, and community activities. Your contribution today helps preserve this vital space for those who seek knowledge, peace, and a sense of belonging.

Let’s unite to prevent the loss of this crucial community asset. Your prompt action can make all the difference in turning our shared vision into a reality. The future of our youth and the AMY Centre depends on your urgent response.

Remember, the universe has a beautiful way of returning your generosity. By investing in this sacred space, you’re not only fulfilling a communal obligation but also sowing seeds for blessings that transcend time and space earning you sadqa e jariya.

This is a unique opportunity you may never encounter again!

How often can you support the construction of an essential Islamic Youth Centre in a place that has never had one before? A centre that serves the needs of a growing Muslim community, specifically targeting youth, and contributes to shaping a brighter, more Islamic future for New Zealand?

YOUR contributions will yield rewards for:

✔ The young Muslims who pray, learn, and thrive in this Centre.

✔ Those finding and accepting Islam.

✔ Our youth learn and practice Islamic teachings, subsequently passing them on to the following generations.

✔ Those learning Arabic, the language of the Qur’an.

✔ Students studying religion to become Imams and leaders in their communities.

✔ The hundreds of refugees and reverts receiving support and services.

Your reward doesn’t end here!

“The Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: “Whoever Builds a Masjid For Allah, Allah will Reward them with a Palace in Paradise” – (Al-Bukhari)

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Seven deeds of a servant continue to be rewarded after his death while he is in his grave: knowledge to be learned, constructing a canal, digging a well, planting a date-palm tree, building a mosque, handing down a written copy of the Quran, and leaving a righteous child who seeks forgiveness for him after his death.”

“Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status.” (Sahih Muslim 2588)

Al-Qurtubi reported: Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “The best jihad is to build a mosque and to teach the Quran, the Sunnah, and religious understanding therein.”

About Aotearoa Muslim Youth (AMY)

Aotearoa Muslim Youth (AMY) is a pioneering Muslim youth centre in New Zealand, established in 2018 as a response to the critical need for support and guidance among Muslim youth in our western society. With “Aoteaora” being the Maori name for New Zealand, our identity is deeply rooted in the beautiful land we call home.

With the understanding that the youth are the pillars of the future, our aim is to cultivate strong, responsible future leaders deeply rooted in their Islamic faith, while also possessing a robust secular education. We work towards this mission by providing comprehensive, multi-faceted services to not just the 70 students we have on-site, but to a total of 400 registered students from all corners of New Zealand.

Our team of dedicated volunteers – comprising over 15 primary and secondary teachers, counselors, social workers, and 8-10 Islamic scholars (both male and female) – tirelessly work towards our collective goal. Despite the challenging weather, our resilient youth remain committed to their daily prayers and Islamic education.

AMY’s services span from a full-time Madrasa and daily Salah space to dynamic sports programs and engaging youth camps. Our future vision includes the establishment of a full-time Darul Uloom boarding school and a comprehensive counseling and social welfare system.

We also host a significant number of refugees and reverts, standing as a pillar of support and a beacon of hope for those who need it the most. Our commitment to inclusivity and community is reflected in our mantra “for the youth, run by the youth,” signifying our belief in the capabilities of our young members to lead and make a difference.

AMY is more than just an organization. We are a community, a family. We believe in the power of collective growth and unity, and in the potential of every individual to make a difference. We are Aotearoa Muslim Youth – nurturing today’s youth for a better tomorrow.

As volunteers who have dedicated decades of service to this community, we have witnessed the positive transformations that occur when hearts come together. Our track record of providing essential services and our commitment to this cause has garnered the support of prominent figures like NBA star Hakeem Olajuwon and many other prominent Islamic figures. By standing with us, you join a legacy of compassion, unity, and positive change.

The Challenges We Face:

✔ Immediate Need for Securing the Centre:

The clock is ticking. Without urgent financial support, we risk losing our central hub – a key pillar for the development and education of our Muslim youth. Every dollar you donate now helps ensure this valuable space continues to serve our community.

✔ Protecting Our Vulnerable Youth:

Each day that passes without reaching our financial goal puts our youth at greater risk. The loss of vital services and guidance could leave them adrift. By acting today, you can provide an essential lifeline and prevent disruption to their development.

✔ Preserving Islamic Identity Amid Rapid Changes:

In a world that changes faster every day, holding onto Islamic values becomes increasingly challenging for our youth. Delays could lead to a growing disconnect with their faith. Your immediate contribution helps us instill strong Islamic values and support our youth in navigating the complexities of modern society.

✔ Nurturing Future Leaders:

The threat to our Centre is a threat to the future leaders of our community. Without this safe and nurturing space, their potential could be compromised. Your timely donation keeps the door open for leadership development.

✔ Averting Educational Interruptions:

Education is a long-term investment that requires consistent support. A delay in our financial commitments disrupts the steady flow of learning and personal growth. Your urgent action can help us maintain uninterrupted education for our youth.

✔ Responding to the Growth of Muslim Youth Population:

As the Muslim youth population in Aotearoa grows rapidly, our need for a dedicated support system becomes increasingly urgent. Immediate action is needed to prevent feelings of isolation and to provide a supportive community.

✔ Resisting Negative External Influences:

The tidal wave of digital media and peer pressure can be overwhelming. Without the guidance and support that our Centre provides, our youth may struggle to reconcile these influences with their Islamic values. Donate now to help us maintain this essential buffer.

✔ Safeguarding Reverts:

The risk of reverts returning to their old ways and lifestyles is a clear and present danger. By ensuring the stability of our Centre and the services it provides, we can offer a consistent and supportive environment to keep them on their chosen path.

A Call to Secure a Hub for Our Muslim Youth.

This versatile centre will not only provide a secure place for our Muslim youth to connect and learn but also present a multitude of benefits for all involved:

✔ A hub for the development and growth of our youth

✔ A space that fosters unity, inclusivity, and community spirit

✔ Facilities for various sports and recreational activities
