A patient with epilepsy may need to be administered a precise dosage of a drug through a machine every hour to control his seizures. If the machine stops for a minute, the patient would lose his life.

If this patient were to be in Gaza, he would more likely than not, end up losing his life.

Did You Know?

Gaza experiences 22 hours of power outage EVERY SINGLE DAY!

A Suffocating Siege

Given these power cuts and withheld resources that could potentially allow generators to come in handy, a patient on life-saving medical support in Gaza easily risks losing his life to a TREATABLE condition.

This is how precarious the health sector in Gaza is today. Years of conflict and socioeconomic decline have pushed it to the brink of collapse. Other than power cuts disrupting medical services, hospitals in Gaza are overstretched so that many patients have to be discharged prematurely to allow for new ones to be treated. They also lack modern medical equipment and face shortages of supplies like blood bags and common medications.

90% of water in Gaza is not fit for human consumption; many people fall ill because of water that is not potable, while many suffer the health consequences of poor sanitation that pervades communities without sewage networks.

Then there’s also thousands of Palestinians with disabilities who struggle with inaccessible facilities and inadequate care.

Not to mention four out of five children who need mental health support because the blockade has forced them into depression, grief and fear.

The near-total decimation of the healthcare sector in Gaza has left its families feeling unsafe and insecure.

Some have to travel long distances for access to medical services, but are too poor to afford commute services and too sick to walk for miles.

Who will help them?

If not you, then who?

If not now, then when?

From Unthinkable Trauma to Healing

Meet Eleen Abu Shaweesh.

She fell victim to the Israeli attacks on Gaza last year, amongst 265 other injured and 31 dead.

Luckily, representatives from Alamal International were on the ground and came to her rescue. It was through YOUR donations that she was able to seek treatment in time and make a physical recovery.

This year, many more children like Eleen are hoping to be rescued as Israel continues its brutal acts of aggression.

While we cannot take the bullets for them, we can ensure their safety and security by guaranteeing medical treatment for those who need it.

Why Should I Help?

Your donation today can be the reason you make it to the gardens of Paradise tomorrow!

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever removes a worldly hardship from a believer, Allah will remove one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection from him.”

The Prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) also said, “We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but will be the foremost on the Day of Resurrection.” The narrators of this Hadith said: Allah said (to man), ‘Spend (in charity), for then I will compensate you (generously).'” (Bukhari)

What We’re Doing

Alamal International has been on the ground in Gaza to fill the large gaps emerging in terms of humanitarian action. It has been our mission to try to meet both, individual as well as community needs. In the past, we have raised over $27,000 for emergency medical relief in Gaza. But there have been casualties after casualties and emergencies after emergencies, necessitating the need for more.

This is where you come in…
Without your help, hospitals in Gaza might be forced to shut down!

As we continue to address the most urgent healthcare needs in the Gaza Strip, we are aiming to collect:
– Medicines and medical consumables
– Fuel for hospitals in Gaza
– First Aid Kits
