Flow of Compassion: Addressing Gaza’s Water Crisis during Ramadan

Droplets of Compassion: Nourishing Gaza's Thirst with Hope this Ramadan!

"And We made from water every living thing. Then will they not believe?"
(Quran 21:30)

As we immerse ourselves in the sacred month of Ramadan, the gravity of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza becomes even more poignant. Over 30,000 lives have been lost, 60,000 injured, and families, particularly children, grapple with the harsh reality of no access to water, food, or vital medical supplies.

During this blessed month, the scarcity of clean water is a stark reminder of our dependence on this essential resource, echoing the Quranic verse emphasizing the origin of all living things from water.

The contamination of over 90% of Gaza's water supply has led to a doubling of water-borne diseases, placing every child at serious risk of diarrhoea, as reported by UNICEF. Health experts caution of an impending exponential spread of diseases like cholera, typhoid, tuberculosis, and other sanitation-related illnesses.

In the spirit of Ramadan, a time of reflection, compassion, and generosity, our brothers and sisters in Gaza are engaged in a relentless struggle for survival. Your support during this critical time becomes a lifeline, a manifestation of the empathy and solidarity that define this sacred month. Let us unite, extending a helping hand and making a positive impact, embodying the teachings of compassion and charity emphasized during Ramadan.
