In 2022, Pakistan was hit by devastating and unprecedented floods, which turned 33 million lives upside down. Months later, most villages and croplands still remain submerged in contaminated and stagnant flood waters. Balochistan, being the most underdeveloped and vulnerable province of Pakistan, was among the most severely damaged regions.

People lost their homes, their families, their livelihoods—and with it, their hope.

In Balochistan alone, nearly 50,000 homes were destroyed, leaving thousands of Balochis homeless, helpless, and miserable beyond comprehension.

Even today, months after the flooding, they are still in the same condition. Homelessness increases the risk of death due to water-borne diseases like dengue.

With nowhere left to go, they are slowly losing their battle with death.

As our displaced brothers and sisters continue living under naked skies, struggling to survive without essential resources, shelter or security,you can do something to help..

The Prophet (PBUH) said, “Whoever relieves a Muslim of some worldly distress, Allah will relieve him of some of the distress of the Day of Resurrection.” (Sunan Ibn Majah 225)

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once said, “The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah’s cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari 265)

Floods Have Passed, But the Struggle Continues

Relying solely on food packets donated by refugee camps, the lives of the victims have come to a halt. Survivors, especially children, remain susceptible to waterborne diseases due to the stagnant and contaminated water from the floods.

If they miraculously survive the diseases, there is no guarantee of protection from other possible threats without a roof over their heads and a secure home.
