In 2022, Pakistan was hit by devastating and unprecedented floods, which turned 33 million lives upside down. Months later, most villages and croplands still remain submerged in contaminated and stagnant flood waters. Balochistan, being the most underdeveloped and vulnerable province of Pakistan, was among the most severely damaged regions.

People lost their homes, their families, their livelihoods—and with it, their hope.

In Balochistan alone, nearly 50,000 homes were destroyed, leaving thousands of Balochis homeless, helpless, and miserable beyond comprehension.

Even today, months after the flooding, they are still in the same condition. Homelessness increases the risk of death due to water-borne diseases like dengue.

With nowhere left to go, they are slowly losing their battle with death.

As our displaced brothers and sisters continue living under naked skies, struggling to survive without essential resources, shelter or security, you can do something to help..

The Prophet (PBUH) said, “Whoever relieves a Muslim of some worldly distress, Allah will relieve him of some of the distress of the Day of Resurrection.” (Sunan Ibn Majah 225)

Make today the day you relieve someone of their distress and gain rewards in the Akhirah.

You Can Help Rebuild Balochistan

Balochis deserve another chance at life. They need safe and stable houses to survive.

We can rebuild houses and restore lost hope– with your generosity and goodwill. Families in Balochistan can move forward and focus on rebuilding their lives rather than fighting for life every day.

Rebuilding a house for flood victims is a great act of kindness, and Allah rewards every single act of kindness.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once said, “The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah’s cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari 265)

How You Can Help

HIWT wants to give vulnerable families in Balochistan a chance to start over. But we need your financial assistance to do that.

Here’s a list of expenses your donations can help us cover:

Construction of ONE House with bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom.

Installation of ONE electric fan point, TWO bulb points, and TWO extra sockets

Installation of Solar Panels

Installation of a Small Water Pump

The construction of each house will only take 15-20 days. In less than three weeks, we will be able to get the people of Balochistan back on their feet.

We have done it before, and TOGETHER we can do it again.

Floods Have Passed, But the Struggle Continues

Relying solely on food packets donated by refugee camps, the lives of the victims have come to a halt. Survivors, especially children, remain susceptible to waterborne diseases due to the stagnant and contaminated water from the floods.

If they miraculously survive the diseases, there is no guarantee of protection from other possible threats without a roof over their heads and a secure home.

HIWT Will Continue its Mission with Your Help

With the grace of Allah, HIWT continues to help the people of Balochistan during natural disasters, epidemics, and other calamities. Our generous donors have made it possible to provide the people of Balochistan with the necessary resources and medical aid. Due to the kindness of donors like you, children of Balochistan live happy and healthy lives.
