Refaat Mohamed is a graduate of the prestigious Islamic university of Al-Azhar in Egypt and has been serving as a religious scholar Imam in Canada since 2007. He is the founder and Imam of the Al-abrar Muslim Association of Aurora and the President of the Canadian Council of Imams.
His works in Da’wa include being an Imaam and lecturer at Ibn Taymiyyah Mosque (London, UK), being an Imaam and lecturer at Call to Islam Islamic Center (Luton, UK), lecturing at British universities and schools on Islam and hosting TV shows and lecture series on Huda TV.
Sh. Musleh Khan is a teacher and renowned speaker who resides in Toronto, Ontario. Sh. Musleh now develops and instructs classes, spends time with the youth, and is a guidance Counselor with a natural knack for helping individuals overcome their life struggles. Sh. Musleh believes in creating a positive impact in his community and currently serves as Chaplain of the Toronto Police Service, a member of the TPS Muslim Consultative Committee & a member with the RCMP Counter-Terrorism Committee.
Itinerant scholar & historian, world traveller, community leader. He received a Bachelor's Degree from the Islamic University of Madinah in 1979. He was one of the first two students from the west and the first American to have done so and receive an Ijazah. He received a Master's Degree and PhD from the University of Toronto.
Sheikh Alaa was born in Cairo and lived in Egypt until he was 15 years old. During his youth, he spent his time as the goalie for the Junior National Team and moved to Toronto, Canada, in the late 1970’s. Currently Sheikh Alaa is the Director of Religious Affairs for the Islamic Centre of Canada-ISNA. Prior to that, he was the Executive Director for the Canadian Islamic Congress.
