Winter Appeal For Rohingya

Winter is welcomed by the privileged wealthy people with colorful pashminas and festive moods, but it brings a lot of suffering to poor and needy people around the world. About 1.2 million Rohingya refugees are living in harsh conditions in small shelters made of bamboo and tarpaulin. Winter comes with lots of fear every year. It affects especially children and elderly people.

Bringing Warmth and Hope to Those in Need

As the winter chill approaches, countless vulnerable individuals face the harsh reality of surviving in freezing conditions. Care Beyond Borders (CBB) launches its Winter Appeal, aiming to spread warmth and hope across communities in need.

Even though the winter is welcomed by the privileged wealthy people with colorful pashminas and festive moods, it brings a lot of suffering to poor and needy people around the world. About 1.2 million Rohingya refugees are living in harsh conditions in small shelters made of bamboo and tarpaulin. Winter comes with lots of fear every year. It affects especially children and elderly people. Besides, many people in Bangladesh cannot afford to buy warm clothes for winter. Every year, a significant number of people die in the winter season due to cold temperatures.

We have taken this initiative to reduce the suffering of a few of these people. Our targeted beneficiaries are widows, orphans, poor students, and poor people in refugee camps and Bangladesh's village areas.

Allah (SWT) said in the holy Quran, “Whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity.” - [The Noble Quran, 5:32].

We hope together we can bring WARMTH to those poverty-stricken people.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:

• Contribute to improving the humanitarian situation of the poor, widows, and orphans.

• Distributing winter clothes to orphans, widows, and poor people.

• Distributing winter clothes among Rohingya families in the makeshift camps in Cox's Bazar.

• Bringing joy and happiness to orphans and their families.

• Contributing to improving the health situation and protecting beneficiaries from diseases that result from the severe cold.

TARGET GROUPS:

• Rohingya families in the makeshift camps in Cox’s Bazar.

• Orphans and widows in the rural areas in Bangladesh.

• Poor and disadvantaged people.
